Showing Up at Doors for Racial Justice - Canvass Day July

Please let us know how many people to expect by RSVPing to the event on Facebook: Or, if you don't use Facebook, just show up!

Tucson SURJ is responding to the increase in open racism and violence against people of color, women, LGBTQ people and immigrants by getting into conversation with new people.

We had an excellent canvass day in June and are excited to get back on the streets in July.

We believe that if we are to dismantle white supremacy, we must undermine support for racist policies and practices in white communities. This means we must move white people who are with us into action, and also talk with folks who are conflicted about working towards racial justice. Tucson SURJ wants to spend some time this summer in the streets talking to other white people about the current political moment we are in, what issues, fears and hopes our people are facing, and how we can move towards racial and economic justice together.

Join us to take action in living rooms, on doorsteps, and on front porches across Tucson!

Note: if you want to get involved but can't make it on the scheduled date, please contact Tucson SURJ. Smaller groups will self-organize periodically throughout the month and you're invited!
