Black Lives Matter demonstration, prior to OSU home football game

We will be standing out by the OSU Bookstore holding signs in support of Black Lives Matter and educating the public about what exactly that means. We will serve as friendly faces standing up for racial justice. Bring a sign in support of Black Lives Matter. Be sure to bring a message of non-violence, love, and the need to end the specific oppression against people of color in this country. Please invite allies of Black Lives Matter to join us.

Warning: we will be met with hostility from white people (based on previous experiences doing this very thing). Remain as calm as possible in these interactions and do not separate from the group. We will be distributing handouts to people who think Black Lives Matter is racist or means other lives don't matter.

We especially need white people to turn out for this. People of color should not be expected to be the sole defenders of their lives and experiences, and have to do this on a daily basis already.

Bring water if it is hot and be weather-ready.
