Solidarity Fundraiser for VORP, hosted by Denver SURJ

One of our values at SURJ Denver is being committed to bold actions that redistribute money, information, access, skills, space, social networks, and other commodities. We answer calls of solidarity from people of color and directly impacted communities to funnel resources to the people and movements that are at the center of this work. We agree to be accountable, intentional, and transparent with our use of resources. For more information about us and our work, visit our Facebook page at, email us at

The evening’s menu includes food for a wide variety of dietary needs, provided by WaterCourse Foods, Interstate, and other local chefs, as well as wine, beer, locally-brewed kombucha, and other beverages.

A fundraising party for the Victim Offender Reconciliation Program (VORP) to support their upcoming back-to-school program, working with youth in the Denver Metro to keep our kids out of jail by restoring relationships with self, family and community.

For over 20 years the Victim Offender Reconciliation Program of Denver (VORP) has been 'interrupting the incarceration of a generation', and is deeply committed to ending the school-to-prison pipeline by educating youth, family, and community members about the consequences of mass incarceration, the prison industrial complex, the new Jim Crow, and how race and poverty continue to play a pivotal role in the criminalizing youth.

Our community financial support of VORP’s programming allows VORP to be less dependent on government and foundation funding and more able to stay committed to their values and mission.

Come be a part of sustaining VORP's important work, and enjoy food, drinks, music, and an opportunity to learn more about VORP's work! We will also have a raffle drawing for great prizes from local shops and businesses!
